Associate Membership application for LENZ members

Eligibility

Eiligibility
Fellow, Associate or Affiliate members of Legal Executives New Zealand (LENZ) are eligible to join the Law
Society as associate members. They are exempt from the requirements of rule 3 of the New Zealand Law Society
Rules for Associate Membership (rule 4(c)) available on our website lawsociety.org.nz/membership/associate-membership

Benefits of New Zealand Law Society associate membership include:
• receive member rates for NZLS CLE courses – webinars, seminars and workshops on a wide range of topics are
presented online and at various venues throughout the country
• receive the Law Society's weekly email newsletter
• eligible for appointment to Law Society’s special committees
• option to join Law Society’s Property and/or Family Law Sections


Payment
Once your application has been approved we will email instructions on how to log in to Registry to download
your invoice and make payment

For the 2024-25 membership year, the associate membership fee for LENZ members is $106 (GST incl.).

Associate section membership

Family Law Section associate membership costs $287.50
Property Law Section associate membership costs $207.

The personal information collected and held by the Law Society will be used to process and assess your application, and for purposes connected with the Law Society's representative functions.

As part of the LENZ membership process you have consented to LENZ and the Law Society sharing your name, contact and employment details and membership status for the purposes of the Law Society’s Associate Membership scheme for Registered Legal Executives throughout your membership of LENZ.
