The membership year runs from 1 July to 30 June.

New Zealand Law Society membership includes membership to a section of your choice (subject to meeting Section eligibility criteria). To join the Family Law Section, please complete the New Zealand Law Society Membership registration form and select the option for Family Law Section membership.

If you are already a Law Society member and wish to join the Family Law Section, please email membership@lawsociety.org.nz. 

Law Society full membership

• Law Society membership 2024/25: $290 + GST
• Law Society membership 2025/26: $300 + GST
• Membership includes membership to one section (Family Law Section, Property Law Section, or ILANZ). Eligibility criteria apply. Additional Section membership is $100 plus GST.

Law Society | FLS Associate membership

• FLS Associate Membership fee $243.75 (inclusive of GST)
• Law Society Associate Membership 2024/25: $106 + GST
• Law Society Associate Membership 2025/26: $150.00 + GST
