By becoming an accredited member of the NZLS Panel of Mediators – Family Specialist, you can demonstrate that you have achieved a certain level of training and experience in family mediation and that you are committed to maintaining a high standard of mediation in your practice.
FLS membership entitles you to a free entry on the “find a family lawyer” online directory on the public and members-only area of the Family Law Section website. You are also entitled to add to your listing that you are an accredited member of the NZLS Panel of Mediators – Family Specialist. The online directory is available to members of the public and makes you instantly identifiable as a family lawyer and family mediator.
As a member of the NZLS Panel of Family Mediators – Family Specialist, you are entitled to use NZLSFamMed as a postnominal to reflect your accredited status.
When you join the NZLS Panel of Family Mediators – Family Specialist, you will receive a certificate that can be provided to the Family Court to show you are a member of the NZLS Panel for the purposes of mediating in the Early Intervention Process. Many Panel members choose to display their certificate in the reception area of their office to certify their Panel status.
A logo will be available for accredited members of the NZLS Panel of Mediators – Family Specialist to use on letterheads, emails, websites and other marketing material once the branding project for the Society and its counterparts is completed.
