New Zealand Law Society - Member logo and post nominals

Member logo and post nominals

Law Society members can promote their membership using our member logo and post nominals, in accordance with the membership terms and conditions.

Your member logo is valid for the current membership year from 1 July to 30 June and is updated each year.

Member logo

You can choose to use the member logo on your email, website or other promotional spaces as confirmation of your membership of the Law Society for as long as you are a member. Section member logos are also available.

Members are provided with a new logo at the beginning of each membership year, starting 1 July, to signify your current membership.

Specific guidance is provided on the correct use of member logos.

Post nominals

Post nominals can be used by members at the end of their name as part of their credentials.

Members may use the post nominal MNZLS while Associate Members are to use Assoc.MNZLS.

Section logos

FLS and PLS members have access to additional logos to promote their membership to a specialist section and the Law Society. You can use the Section logo to identify your membership of the Law Society plus the relevant Section. You do not need to use both.

Specific guidance on the use of Section logos is provided.

If you have any questions about the use of the logos or post nominals please contact us at membership@lawsociety.org.nz
