The Gisborne courthouse and the Māori Land Court have reopened this morning, following a major power cut.
The Ministry of Justice says all cases scheduled for today will run as planned.
Thousands of people were without power for nearly two days, following a light plane crash near Wairoa on Monday. Two people died in the crash.
RNZ News reports electricity was restored to the Eastland Network just before 7pm yesterday, after crews completed urgent repairs to an 800m span of high-voltage powerlines.
The Ministry says anyone whose whose cases were originally scheduled for Monday and Tuesday and who don’t know when their next appearance is need to contact their legal representative or phone 0800 COURTS.
