Good growth in online Solicitor jobs

Jobs advertised online for solicitors rose by 17% between the February 2016 and February 2017 quarters, the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) says in its latest Jobs Online report.

The Jobs Online report measures changes in online job advertisements from three internet job boards - SEEK, Trade Me Jobs and the Education Gazette. MBIE says the trend series is used as the primary indicator as it reduces the month-to-month volatility.

Over the period there was a 12% growth in all jobs advertised online. There were two other categories in the legal sector. The "judicial and other legal professionals" category showed a 14% rise in jobs advertised online over the period, while conveyancers and legal executives showed an increase of 2% in jobs advertised online.
