The Human Rights Commission has released an updated guide for making a complaint about sexual harassment, Help for Sexual Harassment.
The Commission operates a free, informal and confidential service for questions or complaints about unlawful discrimination or sexual harassment.
It says the guide provides information about the options for making a complaint about sexual harassment, including to the Human Rights Commission.
The guide outlines sexual harassment and provides examples. It says people who are sexually harassed at work have two services they can complain to - the Human Rights Commission and Employment New Zealand. Information is also provided on how the Commission's complaints process works, how employers should deal with sexual harassment complaints, the mediation process, and support services.
