The application deadlines are approaching for a number of scholarships and awards provided by the New Zealand Law Foundation.
Because the Law Foundation is going into recess, it is the last time that some of these will be awarded.

New Zealand Law Foundation Shadow Report Award - applications by 1 August 2019
This award of $10,000 supports a person or body to prepare and present shadow reports before United Nations human rights monitoring bodies. As the Law Foundation is going into recess, this will be the last time this award is offered.
New Zealand Law Foundation International Research Fellowship - applications by 1 September 2019
This is New Zealand’s most prestigious legal award of up to $125,000 to assist with research that will make a significant contribution to an area of NZ Law. As the Law Foundation is going into recess, this will be the last time this award is offered.
New Zealand Law Foundation Cleary Memorial Prize - applications by 30 September 2019
This annual prize is awarded to a young lawyer within three years of admission who is adjudged as giving the most future promise of service to and through the profession, as typified by the life of Sir Timothy Cleary. The award is worth up to $5,000. It will continue to be awarded while the Foundation is in recess.
New Zealand Law Foundation Ethel Benjamin Scholarship - applications by 1 March 2020
This annual scholarship is awarded in memory of New Zealand’s first woman barrister and solicitor, to outstanding women law graduates for postgraduate study. The award is worth up to $50,000. It will continue to be awarded while the Foundation is in recess.
