The NZ Wills Registry says Perpetual Guardian has committed to registering the location of all of its clients' wills with the registry.

"This announcement now makes the NZWR the largest Register of wills in New Zealand," it says.

The NZ Wills Registry was launched in March 2016 by Kōwhiri Ltd, which is itself ultimately owned by Perpetual Guardian owner Andrew Barnes.

Kōwhiri says Perpetual Guardian has now registered over 70% of its wills, and the remainder will be registered shortly.
