Intellectual property law firm AJ Park announces the promotion of Sharon Zhu to Principal.
Sharon is a key member of AJ Park’s Patent (Engineering and IT) team, where she helps clients protect their intellectual property assets. She has a strong technical background in engineering and a deep understanding of intellectual property law in New Zealand and Australia, as well as other key jurisdictions including Europe, United States, China, Canada, Japan, and Singapore. Sharon has earned a reputation for providing strategic advice and innovative solutions for her clients.
“I’m excited to join the leadership team, help shape the future of our team, and continue working closely with incredible clients and being part of their journey to protect and commercialise their innovative ideas," says Sharon.
Since joining AJ Park in 2016, Sharon has been instrumental in managing clients’ complex projects, providing practical advice, building strong client relationships, and mentoring junior members of the team. Her promotion underscores AJ Park’s commitment to recognising talent and fostering professional growth within the firm.
"Our success isn't just about protecting ideas—it's about enabling our ambitious clients to harness IP and empowering them to revolutionise industries, create global change and shape the future,” says Dr Andrea Dickens, Managing Director. “Her promotion is well-deserved, and I’m delighted to recognise Sharon for her ongoing contributions and for demonstrating the firms vision."
Sharon holds a Masters in Intellectual Property, degrees in Engineering and Law (both with honours) and is recognised for her ability to bridge the gap between technical innovation and legal strategy.
