Wellington barrister Jo Hughson of Featherstone Chambers has been appointed chair of the Social Workers Complaints and Disciplinary Tribunal for a three-year term.

Catherine Garvey, a barrister at Quay Chambers in Auckland, has been appointed deputy chair.

Both appointees have many years' experience in professional disciplinary matters involving a wide range of professions.
