Auckland lawyer David Jones MNZM has been reappointed as Takeovers Panel chairperson for a further year, starting on 1 October 2015.

Mr Jones is founding partner of Jones Young and was admitted in February 1978. He was appointed to the Takeovers Panel Advisory Committee in 1991 and has been a member of the Panel since its formation in 1995.

With expertise in mergers and acquisitions and corporate law, Mr Jones has been chairperson of the Panel since 2007.
