Jerome Burgess and Kylee Katipo have been promoted to the role of Senior Associate, while Zane Mora and Kuru Ketu have also been promoted to Associate at Waikato law firm McCaw Lewis.
Jerome Burgess joined the firm in 2011 and works across the Māori Legal and Workplace Law Teams.
Kylee Katipo joined the McCaw Lewis whānau in 2018, having previously worked in the Māori Land Court as research counsel for the Māori Land Court Judiciary. She is a member of the firm’s Māori Legal Team, where her mahi regularly takes her to appearances in the Māori Land Court.
Zane Mora joined the firm as a Law Clerk in 2016 and works in the Dispute Resolution Team. His particular areas of interest are estate and trust disputes, relationship property disputes and shareholder remedies, however he has experience in numerous areas of dispute resolution. Zane has appeared in the High Court in Wellington, Auckland and Hamilton.
Kuru Ketu started with McCaw Lewis in 2017, working across the Māori Legal and Dispute Resolution Teams. He works largely within the environmental space, assisting iwi, hapū and whānau groups with resource consents and Marine and Coastal Area claims and well as Māori land, Treaty Settlement and Waitangi Tribunal work.
