Auckland Barrister Gary Hughes has been appointed by TRACE International Inc as its New Zealand local partner lawyer.

TRACE is a US-based, globally renowned, standard setting and training organisation in the field of anti-bribery and corruption, working with pro bono experts in 150 countries to help multinational firms avoid corruption issues.
Based at Akarana Chambers, Gary's practice covers regulatory issues and proceedings. He has worked in specialist AML/financial crime matters since 2007. He moved to the independent Bar in 2016 from the Wilson Harle partnership and has also worked at Chapman Tripp and Clyde & Co in London.
