Greenwood Roche announces new promotions

The Partners of Greenwood Roche announce a series of promotions within the firm.

Rob Harris – promoted to Partner (Auckland) 
Rob is a specialist construction disputes lawyer with a focus on resolving complex in-project disputes and post-completion claims via settlement, adjudication, arbitration or the courts.  He has particular experience with construction and property related claims arising across a variety of sectors and projects including motorways, hospitals, multi-unit apartments, commercial, industrial and civil works. Rob also works closely with private and public clients’ in-house legal teams as dedicated project counsel to provide strategic advice, with his expertise focusing on pre-dispute risk mitigation and dispute avoidance. 
 
Rob is an addition to the firm's National Construction team of 16 lawyers, with four Partners across their three offices.  

Beth McAuley – promoted to Principal (Wellington) 
Beth is a senior commercial property and development specialist who acts for a number of Greenwood Roche's national clients, providing pragmatic, strategic advice across the breadth of their significant property portfolios. Beth's expertise lies in commercial leasing and development, and throughout her career she has advised her clients in substantial design and build development agreements, complex subdivisions, unit title developments and multi-faceted acquisitions and disposals.

Kurt McRedmond – promoted to Principal (Wellington)  
Kurt re-joined Greenwood Roche in 2020 after spending three years practising in the real estate capital markets team of a leading firm in Sydney. Kurt has a broad real estate practice covering acquisitions and disposals, complex development, commercial leasing, property finance and structuring – supporting both private sector and government clients.   

Jordan Ropati – promoted to Principal (Auckland)  
Jordan is a construction law specialist who joined Greenwood Roche with over a decade of experience practising at law firms in New Zealand and in London. During this time, Jordan has acted on several office and retail developments, mixed use regeneration schemes (including the creation of new neighbourhoods at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park), numerous build to rent developments, and key infrastructure projects for clients, including nationally significant projects in Auckland and London.  

Renée de Lisle – promoted to Principal (Wellington) 
Renée practises in all aspects of property law with a focus on development projects, large-scale property acquisitions and disposals, commercial leasing and complex rural land acquisitions and leasing projects. She has a particular interest in large-scale urban regeneration projects and has expertise in navigating the applicable statutory powers and restrictions which apply to the acquisition and subsequent development of land by the Crown and other public entities. Renée has been with Greenwood Roche since her return from overseas travel in 2017. 

Clifton Lin – promoted to Principal (Auckland)
Clifton is a senior commercial property specialist who joined Greenwood Roche in mid-2022, bringing his experience in complex property and infrastructure projects gained during several long stints at national law firms. Clifton’s promotion recognises his depth of knowledge and experience and breadth of his practice, as he continues to advise key clients on major developments and complex transactions across multiple sectors.
