Matt Mazenier, Daniel Young, Rebecca Irvine, Jemma Hollis, Samantha Edwards, Michelle Bruce, Alexandra Dawick and Josh Cairns

Matt Mazenier, Associate, joins the Corporate and Finance team. He has a wealth of experience advising financiers and borrowers on domestic and cross-border transactions covering a range of financing products across all levels of the capital structure.

The Tauranga Property and Commerical team welcomes Daniel Young, Associate, and welcomes back Rebecca Irvine, Senior Solicitor.

He has prior experience in large Auckland firms complemented by local experience at another Tauranga firm.

Likewise, Rebecca advises in a wide range of property and commercial matters, alongside experience in local government transactions, having assisted local and regional authorities in her prior role as in-house counsel at Tauranga City Council. Rebecca has hit the ground running as, prior to her in-house role, Rebecca was a member of the Holland Beckett team and is a familiar face to many.

Senior Solicitor Jemma Hollis has joined the Resource Management team. Jemma has extensive expertise in a wide range of resource management matters, Public Works Act 1981 acquisition processes, local government issues and new legislation and reform. Jemma’s legal expertise is supported by ten years of prior experience working in various resource management and local government planning and policy roles for local and regional authorities in Tauranga and Auckland.

Holland Beckett has the largest family law team in the region, which continues to grow with the addition of Samantha Edwards, Solicitor and Michelle Bruce, Law Clerk.

Samantha specialises in assisting clients through separation, drafting contracting out agreements (pre-nups), and drafting applications under the Protection of Personal and Property Rights Act 1988. She can also assist with estate, care of children, and family violence matters.

Michelle previously spent the summer at Holland Beckett as a summer clerk and rejoins the team after completing her Bachelor of Laws. She looks forward to starting her legal career in the extensive family law team and learning from Holland Becketts family law specialists.

The Tauranga office also welcomes eight graduates. Maia Adams joins the Succession and Estates team. Ella Thomson joins the Corporate and Finance team. Victoria Stanbridge has joined the large Commercial and Property team. Caitlin Booth, Maddison Thornton and Benjamin Verhaaren have joined the Litigation team. Further expanding the family law team, Jaimi Bell and Romy Tennent join in Tauranga, along with Madeleine Anderson-Hodge who joins the Rotorua team following her summer clerkship.
