Jasmine Tietjens becomes Law Commission's new General Manager

Jasmine Tietjens was previously the Director - Legal and Property at New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE).  She was responsible for a significant part of NZTE's corporate services focusing on legal procurement and facilities, including being Chief Legal Counsel. Prior to her seven years with NZTE, Jasmine was a Senior Solicitor with IRD and Senior Legal Counsel with the Ministry of Justice.

"Jasmine brings broad legal and management experience to the Commission along with demonstrated people leadership and team building skills," says Law Commission President Douglas White.

Ms Tietjens has an LLB (Hons) from Queens University in Belfast and an LLM (Hons) from The University of Canterbury.

She replaces Roland Daysh who has stepped down after five years as General Manager.
