Joshua Aird joined specialist litigation firm Lindsay as an Associate in March.
He returns to New Zealand after two years as a litigation solicitor at leading international firm Herbert Smith Freehills in Sydney. Prior to that Joshua was a litigation and tax solicitor at Russell McVeagh, having graduated with first class honours from Victoria University of Wellington.
Joshua has a wide-ranging commercial litigation and regulatory defence practice, including advising companies and individuals on regulatory investigations, class actions, securities litigation, public law, and general commercial disputes. Joshua’s recent experience includes advising an Australian bank in the Banking Royal Commission and defending a number of class actions claims. He is also a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Auckland University Law School, teaching Public Law.
