Kensington Swan has appointed three new Special Counsel and two new senior associates, from 1 January 2018.

Rachel Burt is a Special Counsel in the Wellington employment team. She is an experienced advocate and litigator who advises clients across the on all manner of employment law and health and safety issues. Rachel is a qualified mediator and has extensive experience in representing clients at mediation and in the Employment Relations Authority and the Employment Court.

Michelle Hill is a Special Counsel in the Auckland property team. She joined the firm in 2014 and specialises in the commercial property field, with a particular emphasis on commercial leasing, development projects (including subdivisions) and unit titles. She has has advised the owners and tenants of a wide range of commercial buildings including shopping malls, retail strips and offices.

Nick Summerfield is a Special Counsel in the Auckland banking and financial markets team. Nick specializes in investment funds, including KiwiSaver and also advises companies wanting raise capital by issuing shares or bond in the capital markets. He advises companies across all industries on financial markets matters.

Amy Jardine is a senior associate in the Auckland corporate and commercial team. Amy advises clients on a broad range of commercial arrangements, ranging from strategic transactions to all aspects of daily operations. She has special expertise in commercial contracting, consumer law and mergers and acquisitions.

Reece Leggett is a senior associate in the Auckland litigation team. He has experience in a wide range of dispute-resolution methods, and has appeared before arbitrators, mediators, and the courts. Reece has expertise in expertise in helping clients resolve commercial and civil disputes, with a particular focus on competition law.
