Hannah Northover has been appointed as a Senior Legal Adviser with the Human Rights Commission, based in the Commission's Wellington office.

Hannah began her career in Chapman Tripp's Wellington litigation team before moving on to manage the legal team at Community Law Wellington and Hutt Valley.

She is returning to New Zealand after three years in London and Melbourne, where she worked in a women's refuge, in refugee resettlement, and at Victoria Legal Aid in the family law policy area.

Rez Gardi has been appointed as a Legal Officer with the Commission. She will work in the role for several months before leaving to study an LLM at Harvard University.

Rez completed an LLB(Hons) and BA at the University of Auckland and worked in the ligitation team at Chapman Tripp. She was named Young New Zealander of the Year in 2017 for her services to human rights and in recognition of her voluntary work with young New Zealanders from refugee backgrounds.
