The NZ LAW Limited board has annouced the appointment of Darrin Rogers, the group’s new General Manager. Mr Rogers takes over from Alan Hay, who has been with NZ LAW since 1994.

Darrin joins the group with significant leadership experience. He was General Manager and a Regional Sales Manager for Thomson Reuters for 12 years where he worked closely with NZ LAW member firms on the group’s library portfolio. More recently, Darrin has focussed on cyber security, with senior roles with SSS – IT Security Services and Techtonics Group.

NZ LAW Chair, Dan Moore, says, “The group is fortunate to have Darrin taking over as its General Manager. Darrin’s experience with Thomson Reuters, and the long-standing and excellent relationship that NZ LAW has had with that organisation, made Darrin a stand-out candidate for this position. He has deep knowledge of our organisation, the relationships it has with members, sponsors, suppliers and other professionals who work closely with the group. We welcome Darrin, and look forward to a long and fruitful relationship.”

Paying tribute to Alan Hay’s long tenure at NZ LAW, Dan Moore says that Alan’s 30 years at the helm have been remarkable. “Alan has overseen the group become New Zealand’s largest law firm network with now 60 firms with 235 partners/directors. He has worked closely with the board in developing many initiatives that not only benefitted the membership, but also assisted law students, clients of member firms, community organisations and much more.
