Sam Davies.

Sam is a specialist tax lawyer with over 20 years’ experience guiding taxpayers through Inland Revenue investigations and prosecutions, resolving disputes and negotiating tax debt.

Since 2015, Sam has worked as an associate of leading tax barrister Geoff Clews. That work traversed all elements of taxpayer advocacy, including tax investigations, tax disputes, tax prosecutions and tax debt recovery. During his time working with Geoff, Sam has acted in civil and criminal matters in the Taxation Review Authority, District Court, High Court and Court of Appeal in New Zealand, as well as the High Court in the Cook Islands.

From 1 September 2023 Sam commenced practice on his own account from Old South British Chambers, where he will continue working alongside Geoff focusing on contentious tax matters.
