Registrations are now open for the Law Foundation’s 2018 National Young Lawyers Mooting Competition, with regional finals followed by the national final at the Supreme Court in Wellington on 1 August. The competition is supported by the New Zealand Law Society and the New Zealand Bar Association.

Registrations close on Friday, 4 May and are open to all lawyers of up to five years’ PQE, and those who are registered in or have completed their professionals course. There are regional competitions in Wellington, Auckland, Waikato/Bay of Plenty, Canterbury/Westland and Otago/Southland.

The competition is CPD compatible and offers an excellent opportunity to hone both oral and written advocacy skills. Teams of two are welcome to register.

The national final will be held before Justices of the Supreme Court later in the year.
