Checketts McKay Law are an established Central Otago firm with their origins dating back to the late 1800s. They are embedded in their local community sharing a people and values driven ethos across their 4 centrally located offices.

The firm are currently looking to recruit an astute general law practitioner with 2-4 years PQE with a focus in commercial and property law for their Alexandra office. Ideally you will have a wide range of experience in some or all areas of property conveyancing, easements, subdivisions, trusts, estates and commercial leasing and conveyancing. You will be supported and mentored from Directorship level and aligned with a high performing and driven team.

About you:

  • Admitted in New Zealand, possessing a Bachelor of Laws degree
  • Possess excellent communication and written skills with sound technical knowledge
  • Self-motivated to achieve the best outcomes for our clients through maintaining client relationships
  • A high standard of organisational and time management ability
  • Team driven, keen to support and share knowledge, able to work in a cohesive and collaborative environment.
  • The ability to work under pressure with a consultive and can-do approach
