The personal information collected through this form and held by the Law Society will be used to assess your suitability to be a member of the National Friends Panel (NFP) and for purposes relating to the Law Society’s representative functions. If any of the requested information is not provided, we may be unable to progress your application for appointment to the NFP. The Law Society may make external and internal inquiries and obtain from any person any information that the Law Society considers necessary to assess your suitability to be, or continue to be, an NFP member, and you authorise any such person to disclose this information to the Law Society.
If your application is approved and you are appointed to the NFP, your name, contact details, firm, role, region, and practice areas and issues you feel confident in discussing will be put on the Law Society’s website so that you can be contacted on a confidential basis. The Law Society may directly refer lawyers to you, or fellow NFP members may also provide your details to lawyers seeking assistance.
