Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

039

Once you hold a practising certificate you will need to complete continuing professional development (CPD) each year, as outlined in the Lawyers and Conveyancers Act (Lawyers: Ongoing Legal Education – Continuing Professional Development) Rules 2013.

In your first year of practice, your CPD requirements might be prorated. Schedule 1 outlines the required hours of activities which need to be completed if you don’t provide regulated services for an entire yearly period (1 April – 31 March).
